Instagram. It’s the pocket app that we all know and love. With over 600 million active users it’s growing faster than Facebook and Twitter combined. People are making careers out of it as “Social Media Influencers” and just about every teenager on the planet has a dream of being “Insta Famous”
Lets face it, at any one time, we are all dreaming of a holiday. I get back from one trip and I’m already planning and getting excited about the next one. So when Sunshine Coast Tourism invited me on a road trip up to the Glasshouse Mountains and beaches, of course I jumped at the chance.
In today’s modern world we are all busy. It seems we never have time for our friends anymore. We are connecting more online and via social media than actually getting out there face to face. We have more “friends” and more “likes” than ever before but it’s not making us happier, quite the opposite in-fact. We are so busy keeping on top of everything, that we are not making time for looking after our own emotional wellbeing.
O’ahu, Hawaii – my first trip to this amazing island. It’s somewhere that has been on the bucket list for quite some time. Prior to going, I was given tips by so many people and as I always do, I researched the hell out of the place to make sure I didn’t miss anything, so this is my condensed, concise version of what I thought was the absolutely must do’s and some tips and tricks that I discovered.
As the wife of a retired race driver (Russell Ingall), I’ve led a really busy life, travelling and meeting the demands of a professional athlete’s schedule and children as well. So when my husband retired from full time driving a couple of years ago, suddenly I had all this time on my hands. Since I was 17, I have lived in this crazy world as WAG to race-car driver, Russell Ingall. It’s a fast paced lifestyle, full of fast cars, glitzy parties and glamorous people. We have travelled Australia and the world. Done some crazy fun things and met some incredible people. Sure there have been downsides as well, but when I look back over the last 25 years, I wouldn’t change a thing.
