About

Jules is a Gold Coast based photographer and content creator with over 20 years experience.  It was her love of motorsport as a teenager that inspired Jules’ desire to combine it with her love of photography and work towards a dream of being a Professional Photographer.   Jules started her career as a Motorsport Photographer in Australia, working in many areas of the sport from Karting, open wheelers and Supercars, dealing with corporate brands as well as editorial work for motorsport Publications.  In the 1990‘s Jules moved to the United Kingdom to follow her motorsport photography dreams as well as studying photography.  She worked at many levels of Motorsport in the UK and Europe from open wheelers and a selected number of Formula One events.  In an era where women were few and far between in motorsport, Jules was inspired by other female pioneers in Formula One most importantly, she believes living overseas and traveling the world has broadened her photographic eye and creativity.

Trying to forge a career on the road as a female photographer in the 1990’s was an uphill struggle and family sidelined Jules’ dreams of Formula 1 where she moved away from cars and into the world of travel. Returning home to Australia, Jules was Crowned Asia Pacific/Choice Hotels “Australia’s next top Instagrammer” in 2016 which was a turning point in her career.   She built up a social media presence with an engaged audience and a strong demand for her services.  Now settled on the Gold Coast and with her young family growing up, Jules has more time to steer her career back to her first passion of Motorsport Photography, as well as continuing to cover a variety of industries from Sports to Tourism and Branding Photography, including a Brand Ambassador Role with Porsche Gold Coast.

Jules’ love of people has moved her into diverse areas of photography from judging competitions, contributing to Getty Custom Content Worldwide Platform and Admin for the Canon Australia Collective Facebook Group with the goal of not only teaching inexperienced photographers, but inspiring and creating a positive Online photography community for all levels of photographers to share, grow and learn.

Most recently, Jules is an Accredited photographer with Motorsport Australia and is relishing her role of “Champion” for Motorsport Australia’s “Girls on Track” program.   Having faced challenges in her early career as a female trying to break into a male dominated industry, she recognizes the value she can add supporting young aspiring Motorsport photographers through their journey, guiding them on how to present themselves professionally, creating media kits and an appropriate Online presence.  Importantly,  how to deal with and approach corporate and high level clients which is so key in motorsport.  This is also leading her back to a more hands on photography role at race tracks and working professionally in the Motorsport Arena again, building back the contacts that she had in the early part of her Photographic career as well as harnessing contacts made through years as a Wife to Supercars Champion – Russell Ingall and time spent at race tracks.  It is Jules’ plan to attend a diverse range of motorsport events as well as build her motorsport portfolio back up to the level it was in the 1990’s and early 2000’s whilst guiding the Girls on Track girls through their own photographic journeys at motorsport events and teach hands on techniques of photographing not only race cars, but capturing the emotion and passion behind the scenes of Motorsport.

To ensure that Jules’ images are of the highest quality she has an enviable and extensive collection of professional camera apparatus from the top level Pro Canon equipment, Godox lighting and drones.  This allows her to create excellent quality images for website and printing purposes, as well as social media, brochures etc.
